Essential Oils

Dogs and Essential Oils

During their long evolution, the dog’s genes became adapted to the balance of fats that nature intended for best health. The fats that are necessary for good health, but which cannot be manufactured by their body are called essential fatty acids. They are termed essential because, like vitamins and minerals, they must be provided by the diet.

Your dog’s health is only as good as the food they eat. If your dog is scratching, and their coat is dry or lacks shine, they may be suffering from a dietary imbalance of essential fatty acids. EFAs support glandular and organ function, lubricate joints, stimulate production of fat digesting enzymes, regulate blood clot formation and have an effect on vision, energy and healing.
